Man patīk lasīt klasisko un mūsdienu dzejoļi, jo es biju students. Man bija arī uzrakstījis pāris dzejoļu atpakaļ tad laikā manu skolu dienas un arī laikā mana agrā darba dienu laikā.

Lielākā daļa no šiem dzejoļi tika humoristisks dzejoļi ieraksta amuse sevi. Man bija arī uzrakstījis pāris dzejoļu, kā sava veida dāvanu, kas jāsniedz uz manu ex-kolēģi laikā īpašos gadījumos, jo es nezināju, ko pirkt par tiem laikā viņu dzimšanas dienā, atvadu dienā, un tā tālāk.

Es atceros, viens no maniem ex-kolēģi, kas saņēma manu dzejolis bija tik iespaidu un aizkustināts, ka viņa uzskata Manā rakstveida dzejolis bija labākais dāvanu starp dzimšanas dienas dāvanas, ka viņa bija saņēmusi par šo dienu.

Daži no maniem ex-kolēģi bija greizsirdīgs par manu dzejoli, un viņi teica tā sarcastically, ka viņu centienus, pērkot dārgas dāvanas uz dzimšanas dienu meitene tikai nespēj rakstisku poem, ka nav pat izmaksātu centi. Nu, es esmu ne cheapo un es domāju, ka varbūt to sauc par: "A dāvanu no sirds".

Mana ģimene un man bija ļoti apmierināti ar pārtikas tur. Tā vienmēr ir jautri baudīt labu pārtiku kopā ar savu ģimeni par ģimenes dienu.

Vakar bija otrā piektdiena 13 (13 martā) gadā 2009 un iepriekšējās bija februārī. Nākamā piektdiena 13 ir gada novembrī, jo ir pavisam trīs piektdiena ar 13ths gadā 2009.

Daudzi māņticīgs cilvēki uzskata, ka piektdiena 13 ir slikta luck dienā. Tomēr, izrādījās, ka tā ir ļoti laimīgo dienu, lai akciju tirgus ieguldītāji, jo īpaši Āzijā. Iemesls ir tas, ka otrā piektdiena 13 2009 bija lielākais vienas dienas pieaugums Āzijā šogad.

Today is the second Friday the 13th of 2009, I went for walking exercise with my two friends at the national park. One of my friends was retrenched recently so she got the time to join us for a walk on my rest day.

I drove to the nearest MRT station to pick her up at around 7:30am and then headed to the national park to meet my usual walking friend.

When we reached the national park, we were surprised to see a big crowd of people was gathering at the field. Then, we realised that it was a cross-country day of a secondary school.

Each student was tagged with a 4-digit number on their T-shirt. The colour of the number tag was black fonts with orange background for the girls. Whereas, the colour of the number tag was black fonts with green background for the boys.

We also saw many small kids below the age of 7 were playing at the playground in the afternoon. Coincidently, today is their outing day with the guidance of their nursery teachers.

So, we saw many small children and big children everywhere today. Probably, my friends and I had chosen a wrong day to come to the national park for our walking exercise as it was too crowded to make a relaxing walk.

There is an interesting and cute video clip that leads to the debate of web users on whether organic food really tastes better than conventional food . The superstar appearing in this video was none other but a cute hamster named Hammy .

The creator of the video is Kenneth who did a scientific experiment trying to find out the answer to the important question that leads people to compare the taste of organic food and conventional food. As human beings might get affected by marketing hype, the only way to get rid of this biasness is to do the experiment on an animal.

In this case, a cute hamster was used as an unbiased test subject probably because hamster has superior taste buds. The person who conducted the experiment has designed it in such a way that it lets Hammy the hamster to repeatedly choose between an organic food item and a conventional food item of the same type.

Interestingly, Hammy had chosen organic food in 60% of the trials. The simple experiment shows that Hammy the hamster prefers organic food to conventional food although Hammy had chosen the conventional walnuts over the organic. This is an exceptional case that shows the fascinating inconsistency.

Some of the people may think that the result is not conclusive enough. But who cares? This is just a simple test by using the scientifical way to find out the taste preference of an animal. So, why take it so seriously?

I would just take it as an educational piece of information as well as an entertaining video clip to de-stress myself. Inside the video clip, you’ll find that Hammy the hamster is so cute and lovely.

As I had mentioned in my previous Blog post , I already know the techniques of creating a free-hosted Blogger Blog as well as a paid self-hosted WordPress Blog. This is because I had taken up a WordPress Jumpstart course in 2007 so I’m actually very familiar with the WordPress Blog setup process.

Thus, I don’t think I have learnt many new stuffs in the Wealth Academy business skill workshop on the topic of Advanced Blogging except for the type of software used for installing the WordPress Blog. I was taught to use Fantastico to install Blog since the WordPress Jumpstart course as it is one of the most popular installation softwares so far.

Fantastico De Luxe icon is a blue smiley which can be found in the web server under the “ Software / Services ” section once you log in to the cPanel administration panel. Fantastico is a commercial script library that automates the installation of web applications to a website. Its scripts are executed from the administration area of cPanel.

However, one of the drawbacks of using Fantastico is that the WordPress software version is not the latest. For example, it could give you an older WordPress version such as version 2.5.1 when a newer version, say 2.6.2, is already available. You need to upgrade the WordPress Blog version after you have installed the old one.

Actually, I didn’t know about this Fantastico drawback until I had attended the WA business skill workshop on Advanced Blogging. The trainer, Stuart Tan, told us that one of the methods to overcome this drawback is to use the Simple Scripts which is a one-click installer that automates script installation.

So, I think one of the benefits of attending the WA business skill workshop on Advanced Blogging on 02 March is to discover Simple Scripts and learn how to use it to install the latest WordPress Blog software. Well, it is still a gain after all.

I attended a business skill workshop at the AKLTG last week. It was a 4-hour workshop that started from 7pm to 11pm on 02 March.

This business skill workshop was not open for the public as it was specially conducted for and catered to the graduates of the Wealth Academy program to attend. Obviously, I’m one of the WA graduates since I was invited through email.

The various business skill workshops are in fact part of the Wealth Academy program to equip its graduates with more skill sets besides learning the techniques on the stock market investment and personal development aspects.

The topic of the business skill workshop as conducted on 02 March was on Advanced Blogging . The purpose was to teach the WA graduates on how to Generate Income Streams through BLOGs via the workshop.

Stuart Tan was the trainer of this workshop and he is an established internet marketer cum NLP coach. He had covered quite a number of items in this business skill workshop on Advanced Blogging .

Basically, Stuart Tan was showing the WA graduates on how to set up a free hosting Blogger.com (or Blogspot ) Blog and  how to set up a paid self-hosted Blog using BlueHost service with a domain name.

He even went into details on how to register an Gmail account, how to apply for Adsense and Adwords accounts with Google . Besides this, Stuart Tan also showed his audiences on how to set up a FaceBook and Twitter accounts to drive traffics to our Blogs.

Frankly speaking, I have already learnt and known most of these setups except for the FaceBook and Twitter which I don’t have the intention to register for one at the present moment.

To my surprise, many people who attended the workshop have not heard about most of the internet terms as mentioned above before. Whereas, these terms are not aliens to me and I can boldly say that I am ahead of many people.

Sunday is a family day for the family members to get together. One of the best things to spend on a Sunday afternoon is to go to the restaurant or food outlet to enjoy some good food with the family.

I know that we should not spend lavishly when the global economy is having its downturn. We also wouldn’t know when the economy will revive to a promising level if not at its peak. However, this doesn’t mean that we cannot bring our family members to the restaurant to have some nice food.

As mentioned in my past few posts, many restaurants and hotels are promoting economical buffets to attract more people to eat buffet so as to bring in business. I think this is a good business strategy so as to make people feel that they are still able to afford to eat at the restaurant by paying less.

My family and I popped in to a Xin Hua style Chinese restaurant to order the Pu Tian cuisine at a nearby shopping mall. The price of $12.80 SG is considered reasonable for a high-tea buffet that starts from 3pm to 5pm.

Although there were not too many varieties of Pu Tian dishes to be chosen from, I think we should not ask for too much in view of the low price tag.

I would say Pu Tian cuisine has its own speciality that belongs to the Xin Hua style. It is another taste of the different group among the various types of Chinese food. Well, I still prefer the Cantonese cuisine to the Pu Tian.

Anyway, my family and I had enjoyed our high-tea buffet and we think this was value for money for the low price.
